About Dr. Walter Palmer

Dr. Walter J. Palmer is not only an experienced general and cosmetic dentist; he is also very skilled at creating dazzling smiles that compliment each patient’s own unique teeth structure, facial structure and skin tone. His goal is to ensure that each patient receives the highest quality care and personalized attention to make each visit to our office as comfortable and gratifying as possible.

Dr. Palmer graduated with honors in 1982 from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology. He went on to complete the University of Minnesota’s Dental School in 1987, and he also completed a two-year program at the Waldomar Brehm Institute of Orthodontics.

Realizing that cosmetic dental technology is constantly changing, Dr. Palmer stays on top of the latest trends by attending post-graduate training from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. His areas of studies focus on cosmetic and functional dentistry.

You may have seen Dr. Palmer on the television show Showcase Minnesota where he is a regular guest or read about him in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine where he has been repeatedly named a top dentist. Dr. Palmer is also an active member of the:

Dr. Palmer spent 10 years as a co-owner in a private dental practice and then formed River Bluff Dental in 1997. His state-of-the-art facility in West Bloomington provides comprehensive, full service general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and restorative dentistry services.

Dr. Palmer is married and has two children. He is an active outdoor enthusiast who also enjoys the more serene hobbies of drawing and painting. It is his passion for artistry that gives Dr. Palmer an advantage over other cosmetic dentists, allowing him to visualize how he can effectively transform each patient’s smile into a dazzling masterpiece.
